About Albion Sports Juniors
Background
In June 2001 a Friday night coaching session was set up by the Albion Sports management committee lead by commercial manager Bally Singh, Albion Sports first team manager Kully Sandhu , second team manager Jaj Chahal. The aim is to develop a junior section within the club, quality coaching and football opportunities to provide player pathways.
Aims of the club
The main aims for the Saturday coaching sessions are to provide the community with an opportunity to receive coaching from F. A Qualified Coaches. It is hoped that boys and girls will reach a certain standard to play in organized league matches.
The club is committed to as many children as possible enjoying the football experience regardless of age, gender, race and ability. We are proud and wish to maintain a family friendly atmosphere that the club has.
Current and future developments
The club have obtained the F A Chartered standard and the F A Development standard Awards. The club is in the process of applying for the F A Community Standard Award.
The Saturday coaching sessions has 11 F A Coaching Certificate Qualified Coaches who organize training sessions for children aged from 4 – 16 boys and girls.
Albion sports have now 10 teams playing in organized leagues.
The coaching sessions are beginning to expand even more with Albion sports looking to set up girls coaching sessions in the next few weeks.
Albion sports are looking to set up an u19′s academy team in the near future.
The club is in talks with a couple of parties to purchase or lease playing grounds for next season.
